With over 14 years of experience in the construction industry, Valerie Castillo has built her career from the ground up, bringing extensive knowledge of both field operations and financial management. Her journey began in purchasing at a plumbing warehouse, where she developed a strong foundation in procurement, materials coordination, and vendor relations. From there, she advanced into earthwork subcontracting, gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning every layer of the construction business—from field operations to project execution. Valerie later transitioned into general contracting, where she mastered the financial and operational side of construction, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and full-cycle accounting. Her ability to bring clarity, structure, and strategic oversight to every project has made her a trusted leader behind the scenes. She holds an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Accounting, Business, and Economics and is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, demonstrating her continued commitment to growth and professional excellence. Known for her precision, strong leadership, and bold mindset, Valerie believes success in construction comes from combining technical expertise with polished professionalism—proving that strength and refinement can coexist in a hard-hat world. Above all, her greatest motivation is being a mother. Her 9-year-old son inspires her to continue building, growing, and creating a future they can both be proud of.
