Project Manager

Location: El Paso, Texas

Pay: $100,000–$120,000 per year

Position Summary

The Project Manager leads the project team and is responsible for the timely and successful completion of ECOM construction projects. This position ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to ECOM quality standards.

The Project Manager serves as ECOM’s primary liaison to the owner and as the principal point of contact for the owner’s consultants, project staff, subcontractors, and suppliers. The Project Manager is expected to demonstrate ECOM’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, professionalism, inclusion, and concern for the safety of others.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-family construction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage assigned construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
  • Supervise and support Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and project staff.
  • Create, communicate, administer, and adjust project schedules.
  • Work with the Superintendent to prepare short-term production schedules and maintain project milestones.
  • Identify schedule delays and lead the development of recovery plans and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, revenue projections, billing cycles, and cash flow.
  • Review contracts, plans, specifications, scopes of work, sub-tier agreements, and project requirements.
  • Prepare and manage pending change orders when site conditions or owner directives affect project cost or duration.
  • Lead preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and confirm that scope, pricing, scheduling, and site logistics are understood.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, logs, meeting notes, and other required documentation.
  • Track RFIs, directives, ASIs, pending change orders, issues, opportunities, and action items.
  • Lead owner meetings and participate in meetings with architects, consultants, utility providers, jurisdictional authorities, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Resolve disputes, non-compliance issues, and other conditions that could disrupt project completion.
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure that quality and production goals are achieved without exposing workers to unsafe conditions.
  • Support the professional development and performance improvement of project-team members.
  • Represent ECOM professionally and help develop positive, long-term client relationships.

  • Knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, contracts, billing, change orders, and project controls.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, agreements, and scopes of work.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to lead project meetings and communicate effectively with owners, consultants, employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Work Environment

This position requires work in both office and construction-site environments. The Project Manager must be able to respond to changing project needs, deadlines, and site conditions.
